  • Feb 1 from 7-9pm ARNO will be at the East bank Regional Library with dogs and kittens.
  • Feb 4 ARNO adoptable dogs,puppies, kittens and cats will be at Petco at 5300 Tchoupitoulas from 12-4 with adoptable kittens and dogs. Get your Valenitine sweetheart: a new dog or cat.
  • Feb 4 ARNO adoptable dogs and puppies will hit the Freret Market  from 12-5. Rescue magnets and t-shirts free with donations. 
  • Feb 12th Come out and support ARNO at Barkus. Adoptable dogs will be at the ARNO booth at the pre-parade events. Then cheer ARNO on as we walk our ARNO dogs at the end of the parade

  • Every Day, ARNO No-Kill Shelter, Elmwood/Harahan, LA
    3pm to 7pm every day of the year, or by appt.

    Visit our shelter now for great pointer mixes, black labs, yellow lab, precious pits and pit mixes, golden mix, and some great adult pets! ARNO can tell you about each dog's temperament and whether best match for your family... all adoptions have to go through a strict application process. We do not do same-day adoptions, but use the application process to match the right pet with the right home. All pets are up to date on vaccines, treated for heartworms if positive, spayed/neutered and microchipped. Adoption fees are $150-200 for canines. Adoption fees do not cover what each pet costs to bring to full health, but allows us to continue helping more homeless pets. Senior Citizen Discount of $50 off regular adoption fee.

    ARNO is all-volunteer, and exists on the kind donations of pet lovers all over the country. Donate at www.animalrescueneworleans.org/donate.html. The smallest monthly gift helps us to shelter, feed, and medically treat homeless puppies, kittens, cats and dogs. Please support Orleans and Jefferson Parishes' only no-kill shelter.
