City Section Grid Maps
When Animal Rescue New Orleans first began, Jane Garrison used a New Orleans map to divide the city into section grids, so that search and rescue could methodically search street by street to locate animals needing rescue. The ongoing Food and Water Program, as well as dispatch for rescue continues to rely on section maps. The mapping of food and water stations allows the food and water teams to track feeding stations that are keeping animals alive as well as note sightings of animals roaming, and allows teams to work more quickly and effectively.
